1. What is your artform and/or vision?

I express my artform through sonic co-creation, aka Music. The harmony of the spheres moves me to play, dance, and sing forth my soul. In this way, I celebrate with you, in abounding gratitude for this precious life we share. I have been dancing and singing since I was able to walk and talk. I am a multi-instrumentalist though in recent years have focused on weaving poetry into song writing with acoustic guitar. This is how the birth of my first full-length album ‘Sun Dog’ has come to be. One of my greatest joys is facilitating space for communal sonic explorations or song-circles. This practice is one of celebration and reverence for life. With every breath, we dive deep into the infinite well of creativity within, allowing it to be expressed playfully and authentically through our entire being. Everyone has their own uniquely perfect harmony to sing in the ecstatic symphony of creation. My vision is one where we as the collective body of earth, remember to follow the joy of living our soul’s calling, flowing with the current of that which brings our hearts to flower. Celebrating our eternal essence with reverence for the sacred in all, we sing again as one universal family of love.

2. What other artists inspire you?

There are thousands of artists that inspire me. As I write this I am listening to Ravi Shankar, who has been a light of musical inspiration in my life. I have been listening to quite a bit of early Santana lately also. Powerful medicine… At present, some artists/bands that have an especially tender place in my heart are Elephant Revival, Ma Muse, Baaba Maal, Edward Sharpe, Bob Marley, Prince Nico Mbarga, Jurassic 5, Tito La Rosa, Trevor Hall, Snatam Kaur, Thievery Corporation, Toots & The Maytals, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Operation Ivy, Bobby McFerrin, Luminaries, & White Flight. Haha, quite the list here but still barley scratches the surface. A huge source of inspiration is my mother Susan. She is a musician, as well as visual artist, and has supported my artistic growth and creative expression my whole life. When I was young she was in a rock band called Dear John and brought me regularly to her rehearsals. I have a dimly-lit lava-lamp-and-incense-infused memory of this time; I was three or four years old and small enough to comfortably curl up and rest in the drummer’s open face kick drum while my mama Susan shredded a red Stratocaster electric guitar. That was my lullaby. She has supported me through all of my sonic explorations from punk rock, to metal, hardcore, hip hop, garage rock, hypnotic psychedelia, folk, bluegrass, Bhajan, world music, and almost everything in between. She is now creating amazing paintings that stir the soul and inspire my heart to sing. My gratitude & love radiates to her infinitely. Though music is one artform I am particularly moved by, I am blown away by the power and beauty rising within the emerging visionary art culture in all modalities, which we are co-creating with every breath.

3. What does the phrase "Time is Art" mean to you?

This phrase sums it up for me. I feel like Time exists in relation to life & its cycles so to me, its another way of saying ‘life is art’. Just look at how the flowers grow, see the patterns, listen to the wind, hug a tree, swim in the rivers, climb mountains, jump in the sea. Stop and smell the roses, literally... Look at the way the spiraling galaxies reflect the same spiral on the crown of your head or the geometry of an atom. Its all here, breathing, living, loving, ART! Time is Art, so open your heart and let it flow as the love that truly is, here and now. Thank you friends at the Law of Time, for allowing me this opportunity to share my expression through this noosletter and the larger 13 moon community. I am eternally grateful for the light you bring to this world.

With honey in the heart,
